Welcome to 'Acoustic Neuroma: The Patient's Journey'
Acoutic Neuroma: The Patient's Journey is a training course for persons
diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma skull-based tumor. The purpose of this course is to provide basic information to help you understand
the journey you are about to undertake, and to allow you to communicate more knowledgeably with your health care providers. This course is
not intended to provide medical advice or to recommend, suggest, or favor any particular medical approach or course of treatment. It is provided free of charge and on the understanding
that viewers assume full responsiblity for their treatment choices.
In order to run this course you need a computer with the Adobe Flash plugin and a screen resolution set at 1024 X 768 or (preferably)
higher. This course will take you about 3 hours to complete. You may skip sections and go to any part by using the main menu buttons. Quizzes for
self testing are provided in each section, and a final quiz is provided. If you pass the final quiz with a score of 80% or more you may print
a certificate of completion. Following the quiz a feedback window will open - we encourage your comments, positive or negative, on this course.
